Paul Nnodim is a Professor of Philosophy in the Department of English and Philosophy at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He holds a master’s degree in Creative Writing (Novel Writing) from Middlesex University, London, UK, and a doctorate in Philosophy from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany.

His research centers on the works of John Rawls, theories of justice, Ubuntu and African ideas of community, corporate social responsibility, and migration literature. His books include Ubuntu: A Comparative Study of an African Concept of Justice (Leuven University Press, 2024), Beyond Justice as Fairness (Bloomsbury, 2022), Corporate Social Responsibility, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation (Routledge, 2012), and Rawls’ Theorie der Gerechtigkeit /Rawls’ Theory of Justice (Athena, 2004).

Nnodim is also an emerging novelist. His forthcoming novel, Road to Exile, follows a young African migrant who undertakes a grueling journey across the Sahara Desert before boarding a small, overcrowded fishing boat to cross the Mediterranean Sea in pursuit of opportunity in the West. Set against the backdrop of one of the defining humanitarian crises of the twenty-first century, the novel explores migration, belonging, loss, human dignity, and the meaning of home.
